February 1, 1944 - December 20, 2011

KEIZER -Dale Robert Wolter, son of Howard and Vivienne Wolter, was born February 1, 1944 in Portland, Oregon. Dale graduated from Willamina High School in 1962 and then enlisted in the United States Air Force. He went to work for Northwest Natural Gas Company in 1969 until he retired in 2006. He married Diane (Crone) Wolter in 1975 and was married for 33 years.

Throughout his battle with cancer Dale remained a man with an original dry sense of humor, an undeniable courage, and unconditional love for his family, friends and neighbors. He took great pleasure in riding his Harley, playing with his grandchildren, drinking fine wines, and being with his fiancée, Susan Arbaugh.

He is survived by his three children, Daleen Wolter of Lake Oswego, Angela Milstead of Beaverton, Christopher Wolter of Paris, France and six grandchildren, Allie, Trevor, Clark, Donovan, Kaylee and Nikki. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Ryan and brother-in-law Steve of McMinnville and countless additional family and friends, some of whom adopted him as an honorary Dad.

Visitation will be at 6:00pm at Keizer Funeral Chapel on Thursday, Dec. 22nd followed by a rosary at 7:00pm. The memorial mass for this fun loving man will be held at 10:00am at St. Edward's Catholic Church on Friday, Dec. 23rd, followed by interment at Willamette National Cemetery at 1:30pm. Contributions in his name may be made to Santiam Memorial Hospital or the American Cancer Society .
