Michelle Renee Rose, 39, of Terre Haute, passed away Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008. She
was born on Dec. 16, 1968, in Terre Haute, the daughter of Daniel W. Rose and Marcia
(Stephens) Rose and they survive. Michelle was a graduate of Terre Haute North High
School with honors. She graduated from Ivy Tech Community College and received a
bachelor's from Indiana State University in social work and also a bachelor's degree in
biological sciences. She worked assessing babies for the community and bartender for
the Marine Corps League. Her hobbies included arts and crafts, cooking and organizing
parties. She also loved water sports. Survivors include three children, Renee Nicole
Chaney, Michael Duby and Chris Taylor, all of Terre Haute; a grandchild, Kaden Harris
Bennett of Terre Haute; two brothers, Jeff Rose and Daniel S. Rose, both of Terre
Haute; one grandmother, Alberta "Pat" Stephens of Terre Haute; a nephew, Brady
Foster of Terre Haute; three uncles, Robert G. Stephens of Arkansas, Richard E.
Stephens and James E. Stephens, both of Terre Haute; aunt, Patricia S. Hughes of
Terre Haute; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfather,
Robert E. Stephens; an uncle, Daryl Hughes; and a cousin, Ricky Stephens.Funeral
services are 2 p.m. Monday in Roselawn Funeral Home, 7500 N. Clinton Street.
Visitation is 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
