Born in an area around Blucher, Parrish of Poppentin, Mecklenburg, Germany in May 1846. Arrived in United States 1859. Followed Anton Kasper who arrived in US in 1851. Wilhelmine(a) Frick and her family settled in Ackley, Iowa. There they had four children: Martha Kasper, born Dec 1877; William Julius Kasper, born 9 Feb 1881; Henry Anton Kasper, born 19 Aug 1882; and Charles Kasper, born April 1892. By 1900, they had moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Military records show that Anton did not qualify for his Civil War Pension in Iowa since he fought with Co, B, 26th Wis Infantry. This may be reason for the move. Since the family was growing, they may have decided to go where Anton could draw his pension (Wisconsin). After the 1900 census, no additional information regarding Martha (Occupation: No Job) and Charles (Occupation: At Home) are found as of this date. William (Occupation: Mailman) continues to show being in Milwaukee thru the 1930 census, the census said he was a Nash Builder at the Nash Factory, but stops there. The rest of our family tree follows Henry Anton Kasper.
