Rolly B. Herr, 73, former Muscatine businessman, died at 7:40 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, at Orlando, Fla.
Mr. Herr was born Nov. 13, 1886, at Wilton, the son of John and Flora Long Herr. He was married to the former Bertha Long.
Mr. Herr operated the Herr Coal Co. in Muscatine for a number of years. He had lived at Orlando for the past eight years.
He was a member of the First Methodist church of Orlando; Iowa Lodge No. 2 A.F. and A.M.; Royal Arch, Webb Council and DeMolay Commandery.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Bertha Herr of Orlando; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Harry.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the George M. Wittich funeral home, and burial will be at Oakdale cemetery, Wilton. Rev. P.M. Conant of Muscatine will officiate at the services. The body will arrive here Tuesday morning.
