He was an avid golfer and fisherman and a fan of the Bucs and the Devil Rays.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Irene; a son, Daryl V., Atlanta; five daughters, Michele Ebbers, Odessa, Lori Deese, Rockledge, Patricia Wolfinger, Orlando, Jeannie Mosier, San Antonio, Texas, and Leslie Shore, Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother, Walker, Blountstown; 16 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
