Funeral for Annie B. Helms Waddell, 85, of Somerville will be Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Pilkington officiating and Kenneth Roberts delivering the Eulogy.

Burial will be in the Red Oak Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 11:00am until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Waddell died on Sunday, January 8, 2012, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born on August 19, 1926, in Morgan County to Charles Newman and Nanny Campbell Newman. She was a homemaker, a member of the United Methodist Women at Center Springs, avid quilter, gardener and advisor. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Melvin Lawson Helms and Victor Hugo Waddell; and by a son, Billy Frank Helms.

Survivors include four sons, Jerry Wayne Helms (Jo) of Somerville, Melvin Gene Helms (Rosemary) of Hartselle, Bobby Jack Helms (Diane) of Lacon and Robert Sherrill Helms of Somerville; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Helms of Lacey's Spring; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Jimmy Kent, Jimmy Johnson, Bob Forton, W.C. Maze, Russell Chunn and Kevin Rooks will serve as pallbearers.
