Cathy Naugle, 48
Cathy Anne Naugle, 48, of Nokomis died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012 at 4:12 a.m. in Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
Funeral services for Mrs. Naugle are scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 8 p.m. in the Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro. The Rev. Randy Sands will officiate, and visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday evening.
Ms. Naugle was born to Robert and Colleen (Collins) Otter (stepfather Fred Gates) on Jan. 14, 1963, in Hillsboro. A graduate of Hillsboro High School, she was a day care provider who had lived in Hillsboro, Springfield, and Nokomis.
She is survived by her parents; three daughters, Jacqlyn Naugle (fiance Jason Hockett) of Irving, Jennifer (husband Joshua) Jeffers of Hillsboro, and Ann Naugle of Mt. Zion; five grandchildren, Faith Bolliard, Nick Hockett, Trenton Jeffers, Hunter Hockett, and Briannah Jeffers; one sister, Debbie Otter of Hillsboro; two brothers, Jason and Mike Gates, both of Hillsboro; one niece, Jessica Otter; and two nephews, Jaxson Wittenmyer and Isaiah Gates.
The Old Settlers Queen in 1981, she loved to play bingo and crochet as well as spending time with her grandchildren.
