She graduated from San Saba High school, and shortly after married J.L. Stewardson on June 25, 1952. They had two sons they adored. They traveled extensively going to livestock shows and rodeos following and supporting Hardy and James. Lige Ann enjoyed sewing and often used her talent to make her boys western shirts. She was a member of a quilting club. She had a love for painting pictures, knitting and cooking. Her birthday cakes were nothing less than amazing. Her love for cooking led her to open her own restaurant and catering business and ever so fittingly named it, "Lige Ann's Home Cooking" . She enjoyed gardening and had a passion and love for flowers and pot plants. To say that Lige Ann had a green thumb was an understatement. She had her own green house that she would sell flowers and plants out of. She absolutely loved being around her children and grandchildren. She and J.L. were often seen in the crowd supporting their grandchildren, whether it be at a sporting event or livestock show.
Survivors include two sons, Hardy Stewardson and wife, Landy of Clarksville, TX; and James Stewardson and wife, Cindy of San Saba; two grandsons, John Stewardson and wife, Myia of San Saba; and Babe Stewardson of Clarksville, TX; three granddaughters, Landra Stewardson of Austin; Lige Anna Stewardson of Kingsville; and Stephanie Falkner and husband, Gavin of San Antonio, TX; three great grandsons, Jack and Jace Stewardson and Gage Falkner; two sisters-in-law, Frances Skiles of Weatherford; and Elizabeth Barker of San Saba; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lige Ann is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, J.L. and one brother, Richard Miller.
