Jack was born in Butte, MT to John and Nora Jackson Roach.

Married Barbara McElhenney in Butte on December 15, 1949.

At the time of his passing, he was survived by his wife, one daughter, Nylene L. Saville and two sons, John C. Roach & Living, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one sister and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Adam Roach. Roach, Adam Michael

Jack was a resident of Spokane for 35 years, moving to Spokane from Butte in 1969. He was a computer programmer at Old National Bank and US Bank, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the Musicians Union in Butte, MT and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a corpsman. He loved music and played in several bands in the Butte, MT area. He enjoyed bowling and fishing the Big Hole River near Butte. He loved animals and his faithful K-9 companion, Dixie. Jack passed away peacefully surrounded by his friends and family.

While living in Butte, Jack worked for Security Bank for many years and kept the accounting books for the Main Public Market. Jack was an accomplished musician, playing the piano, organ and saxophone. On weekends, he played the piano in Ed Bowman's Band. As many other natives of Butte, Jack loved eating at John's Pork Chop Sandwich Shop.

His large K-9 family included: Bumps, Sooty, Spot, Cocoa, Doxie, Buffy, Ben, Becca & Dixie. He adopted most of them from shelters and provided love and table scraps for every one of them.
