Edward A. Schielke, 86, Gleason - Town of Russell - died Wednesday February 15, 1984 at Pine Crest Nursing Home in Merrill.

He was born on November 2, 1897 in the Town of Schley to Frank and Mary Schielke. He was married to Florence Guerin on July 6, 1926 in Merrill. He was a former dairy farmer and fox farmer, worked for the Lincoln County Highway Department, and on the Alcan Highway in Alaska'a Aleutian Islands. He was a member of Lutheran Memorial Church in Gleason, was a former elder of Immanuel Lutheran Church Town of Schley, and was a member of the Gleason Senior Citzens Club. He was the former vice-president of the People's Fish and Game Club and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Funeral services were held on Saturday February 18, 1984 at Luther Memorial Church in Gleason. The Rev. Franklin L. Hoffman officated and burial took place at the Church's Cemetery. The Taylor Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
