Wallace E. Ogg, 84, died Friday, November 13, 1992, of a heart attack at his home in Ames.
Memorial services were held Monday, November 16, 1992, at the First Christian Church in Ames. The Rev. David Digby officiated the services. Burial was at Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.

The son of Mason C. and Olive (Woodard) Ogg, Wallace was born September 18, 1908, in Monroe.

He attended Prairie City High School before entering Des Moines University in 1925. He graduated from Iowa State College with a B.S. in Economics in 1931, and a M.S. in 1944. He also received a M.S. in 1948 and PhD in Economics and Political Science from the University of Chicago in 1949.

His first wife, Charlotte (Vander Ploeg) Ogg, who died in 1953, bore three children who survive him: Beverly Stone of New York, Nancy Hazen of Taos, New Mexico, and Clayton W. Ogg of Silver Spring, Maryland. Also surviving him is his wife, Edna. There are six grandchildren. Wallace was united in marriage in 1955 with Edna Mundt. A sister, Frances Ogg Beesley (Mrs. Robert) resides in Fancy Gap, Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife.

Memorials may be designated to any of the following: First Christian Church, Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship, Wycliffe Bible Translators, ISU Foundation-Economics Support Fund.
