Ira was the son of Michael Beham and Margaret Smith. Michael Beham was born between 1843 and 1849 in Pennsylvania. He died at the age of 26 in Pennsylvania. Ira's stepfather was Paul Crawford.

"Ira H. Beham, age 78, of 2231 Williams street, passed away in a local hospital Friday, October 24, (1947). Mr. Beham had been a resident of this community for the past three years and was a retired school teacher. Deceased had attended the Broadway United Presbyterian church, and was a member of Whatcom lodge No. 151, F. & A. M.

Surviving relatives are three sons, Merrill, of Bremerton, Wesley, of Poulsbo, and LeRoy, of Olympia; and one granddaughter, Mrs. Elizabeth McDonald, of Bremerton.

The remains are at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth, where services will be conducted by the Rev. G. Raymond White and officers of the Masonic lodge. Tuesday, October 28, at 1:30 p. m. Final resting space, Greenacres Memorial Park."
