Barnes-Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church south of here for Emma G. Rothlisberger, 100, Shawnee Mission, formerly of Barnes, who died Saturday, Jan. 21, 1995, at her home.
She was born Oct. 23, 1894, in Scribner, Neb., the daughter of Charles and Mary Vette Rodick, and lived in the Bodaville community south of Barnes before she moved to Kansas City in 1942. She was a seamstress and worked for Missouri Garment Co., and later the Gernes Garment Co., before she retired in 1973.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Kansas City, Mo.
She was married to Albert Rothlisberger Dec. 2, 1914, in Barnes. He died in 1954.
Survivors include a son, Fred Rothlisberger, Manhattan; a daughter, Dorothy Humphrey, Shawnee Mission; a sister, Martha Hagadorn, Linn; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in st. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery south of Barnes. Mrs. Rothlisberger will lie in state today at Holmes-Pfeifley Funeral Home in Riley. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lutheran Hour Radio program.
