Services for Nicole Tanner Ziegler, 25, of Winder, Ga, will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday at W.W. Rix Chapel with the Rev. Kim Clowe of First Christian Church officiating.

Burial will be at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors.

She died Friday, Dec. 18, 1998, in Atlanta, Ga.

She was born Nov. 25, 1973, in Lubbock. She graduated from Monterey High School in 1991 and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force as a security police officer. She served in Alaska for four years and served in Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War. She received many awards and accommodations including Airman of the Year at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Anchorage, Ala. She married Mack Ziegler in November 1995 and moved to Winder, Ga., in 1997. She attended Texas Tech and was an honor student at the University of Alaska, Anchorage, achieving the National Dean's List. She was seeking a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Georgia.

Survivors include her husband; her father, Larry J. Tanner of Lubbock; stepmother, Lois Tanner of Lubbock; a brother, Travis Tanner of Lubbock; a stepbrother, Custer B. Livermore of Lubbock; three stepsisters Christy West and Lori Meyer, both of Lubbock and Dorothy Barnard, Boston, Ma.; maternal grandfather, Joe B. Beckham of Big Spring; and her paternal grandparents, R.B. and Joan Tanner of Denton.
