Mrs. Roy (Edna) Ahrens, 79, former Green Bay resident, died Monday evening, April 24, 1995, at the Veterans Hospital in King, Wisconsin. The daughter of the late Eli and Anna (Destiche) Le Fevre was born in Lena August 1, 1915. Edna served in the U. S. Army during World War II as a surgical technician from 1945-1946. She was employed at Kraft Foods in Green Bay for ten years. On July 31, 1948 Edna married Roy M. Ahrens at St. Charles Church in Lena and he preceded her in death August 7, 1977. She was a member of the American Legion, Madelyn La Cane Post of Green Bay; the Catholic Order of Foresters and the Gold Star Mothers. Edna was a past member of the Brown County Commission on Aging. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Chris Ahrens, Detroit Lakes, Minn,; Steve and Deborah Ahrens, Wausaukee; four grandchildren; one brother, Marvin Le Fevre, Arlington Heights, Ill; one sister, Delores Cleereman, Green Bay; nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by one son, Jim Ahrens who was killed in action during the Vietnam War on June 19, 1969; two sisters, Florence Hoida and Grace Moudry; five brothers, Clifford, George, Harvey, Eugene and Elmer Le Fevre. Friends may call at Malcore Funeral Home, University Ave. at Baird St., from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and prior to the funeral on Friday. The Gold Star Mothers memorial service 6:30 p.m. Thursday. American Legion Auxiliary memorial service 7 p.m. Thursday. Parish wake service 8 p.m. Thursday. Funeral Friday 10 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Church. Burial at Allouez Cemetery.
