Services were held Saturday for Mrs. Mollie Batton, 71, R.R. 2, Indianapolis, who died in the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Wednesday. Mrs. Batton was born August 13, 1893 in Pomeroy, Ohio. Prior to moving to the area four years ago, Mrs. Batton lived in Cabin Creek, West Virginia. She was married to the late William W. Batton in 1907. He died in 1929. Mrs. Batton was a member of the Faith Assembly. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Louise Martin, Baltimore, Maryland, Mrs. Lenida Poore, Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Conchita Hoffman, Nitro, West Virginia, and Mrs. Agatha Roberts, Statesville, North Carolina; two sons, Joseph Batton, Kayford, West Virginia, and Don Batton, Indianapolis; a sister, Mrs. Lillian Mallory, St. Albans, West Virginia; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services were in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home in Plainfield and burial was in the Maple Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Evan Paul conducted the services.
