Mary Joyce (Rinker) Ecoff, 85, of Anderson, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012.

She was born March 26, 1926, in Daleville, to the late Joseph and Gladys E. (Motter) Rinker. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was affectionately known as "Mama Joyce" to many in the community. She was also an avid sports fan. She belonged to Psi Iota Xi Sorority, the United Methodist Church, was the former president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fortville Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a member of the Fortville American Legion.

She retired from Raytheon (formerly D.C. Heath Publishing Co.) after 29 years.

Survivors include her children, Linda (Jim) Peavler, Larry Ecoff, Denise (John) Ringer and Diane Wichman; grandchildren, Lisa Grinstead, Lance Grinstead, Darra Roberts, Ryan Knoll, Heather Mustin, Jessica (Ringer) Harsha, Holly (Puckett) Griffin, and Justin Puckett; great-grandchildren, John Andrew Shreve, Drake Madden, Casen Pinkowski, Skylar Grinstead, Chance Mustin, William Knoll, Jocelyn Griffin, Sophia Knoll, Kooper Grinstead, Reese Griffin, Hudson Harsha and Henley Harsha.

She was preceded in death by sister, Bernadine Barron; and brother, Alfred Rinker.

Services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Private family burial will take place on Saturday at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
