Bob grew up and graduated from Ortonville, MN. He was in the National Guard and the Army during the Korean War. He lived in Minneapolis for several years; worked for Petersen House Movers, I Ten Chevrolet Dealership and built homes independently. He also owned a bar in Pillager, MN for a few years. He retired to Park Rapids where he lived for 20 years. He had five children, Nancy, Rosanna, Rebecca, Robert, and Martin.
