The Rev. John Frederick Kuhlman, pioneer Lutheranism in Nebraska, and first president of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod of Nebraska, died June 8 at the Tabatha Lutheran home, Lincoln, Nebraska, at the advanced age of 96 years, 6 months and 28 days. He is the father of the Rev. Dr. Luther Kuhlman, Gettysburg, who is well known in Littlestown, having supplied before the present pastor, the Rev. D. S. Kammerer, took charge.
