Darlene Beth Dostal, 63, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, April 17, 2004 in her home. She was a lifelong resident of the Hibbing and Side Lake areas. She was born on Sept. 5, 1940 to William L. and Beth (Fadden) Peterson Sr. in Hibbing. She was an active volunteer at the Salvation Army, attending services and dedicating a lot of time with the soup kitchen. She was very active in the AA Program where she achieved 11 years of sobriety. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Her motto was, 'if I can do it, anybody can, if it will work for me, it will work for anybody.'
She is survived by two sons, Terry (Michaela Zankl) Newman and William (Yvonne) Minke; three daughters, Tammy Lynn Rundquist, Beth (William) Gundy and Gina Virginia Dostal; 12 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William L. and Beth (Fadden) Peterson Sr.; her brother, Billy Peterson Jr.; two sisters, Verna Preattle and Viola Douville; and one grandson, Kevin Daniel Dostal.
