Funeral services
for Mrs. Joseph Diedrich, 83,
were held Dec. 22 at the Christ
the King Catholic Church at
Presho, with burial in the Holy
Angels Cemetery under the
direction of the Hofmeister
Funeral Home.
Mrs. Diedrich was born May
7, 1892 at Howard to Mr. and
Mrs. John Feldhaus, and she
died Dec. 19 at a Pierre
hospital. She attended Madison
State Normal, and taught
school at St. Agathas at
Howard and rural schools in
Miner County. On Oct. 20, 1915
she married Joseph Diedrich.
They farmed in the Howard
area for six years until moving
to a farm near Presho in 1921,
and into Presho in 1947.
Survivors include five
children, Walter, Ralph and
Jerry, all of Presho; Tom of
Hinckley,Minn., Mrs. John
(Rosemarie) Weiland,
Yankton; one brother Fred of
Presho; two sisters, Mrs. Beryl
(Frances) Tracy of Presho,
Mrs. Olf (Clara) Brewer of
Pipestone, Minn.; 36 grandchildren
and 13 great grandchildren
