Louisa and husband Christian were farmers, owning land first in Sumpter Township and later in Prairie Du Sac....they were married for more than fifty years and they share a main Headstone monument at the cemetery in Prairie du Sac.
Louisa and Christian raised six children….Henry Graf (Wife, Elizabeth Netcher Graf), Louisa Graf (Mrs. Fred Kirner), Charles Graf (Wife, Amalia Carlow Graf), Herman Graf (Wife, Mathilde Carlow Graf), Bertha Graf (Mrs. William August Alwin) and William Graf.
Louisa was a Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend.
She is lovingly remembered because of all of the families who knew and loved her and passed along memories of her to be shared.
She leaves a lasting legacy of love and respect.

Louisa was thirteen years of age when she came to Sauk County with her parents, Martin and Christiana (Hansen) Diebel. That was in 1848. Martin Diebel and wife spent their last years in Sumpter Township on their farm. She first married Carl Schied, and by that marriage there were two children: Christina, wife of Frank Eschenbach, and Fred. After the death of her first husband, she married Christian Graf. He was a carpenter by trade and located in Sumpter Township in 1855. They had six children: Henry, Louisa, Charles, Herman, Bertha and William.

The smaller headstone marker is for Louisa -
it is inscribed MUTTER for "Mother" and is
