She died Saturday, Nov. 1, 1997, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 21, 1910, in Cooper. She moved to Lubbock in 1921 and attended Draughon's Business College. She was a waitress at Little's Hill Top Barbecue and a member of the Nazarene Church.
She married Herbert Hettler on Jan. 19, 1925, in Lubbock. He died Jan. 15, 1973.
Survivors include seven brothers, J.C. Haley of Albuquerque, N.M., Tommy Haley, Edward Haley and L.J. Haley, all of Lubbock, Paul Haley of Weatherford, Robert Haley of Tyler and Hulen Haley of Richmond, Va.; a sister, Helen Gholson of Lubbock; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter.
