Obituary / Additional Information: Mrs. Alma Dorothea Westerbeck, 76, of New Bremen, died at 4:00 a.m. Thursday at the St. Marys Nursing Home where she had been a resident the past two years. Death was due to complications. Before moving to the nursing home she resided in St. Marys with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Schmidt. Born in New Bremen whe was the daughter of Carl and Emilie Schowe Heil. On November 29, 1916, she as married to Irwin Westerbeck who died December 14, 1957. In addition to Mrs. Ray (Marjorie) Schmidt, she is survived by two sons, John of Ravenna and Kenneth of Dayton and another daughter, Mrs. Linus (Lois) Lammers of St. Henry. There are 16 grandchidlren. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. William (Clara) Huenke, New Bremen, Mrs. Sam (Lillian) Dixon, Celina and Mrs. Ethel Trout, Dayton and two brothrs, Lawrence Heil of New Bremen and Homer Heil of Columbus. She was a life-long member of the St. Paul's United Church of Christ, New Bremen, the Women's Guild of the Church and the Worthwhile Women's Club. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday in the Gilberg Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Perl officiating. Burial will be in the German Protestant Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 tonight and on Saturday until the time of the services. Those desiring to give memorial gifts are invited to contribute to the St. Paul Memorial Fund.
