Harvey W. Stoessel, Jr., 78, died on Thursday, February 9, 2012, at his home. He was born on Wednesday, June 28, 1933, to Harvey W. Stoessel, Sr. and Alma Stoessel nee Hernley in Lebanon. He was a member of United Methodist Church of the Good Shepherd. He worked as a steelworker and was a veteran of the Navy, having served in Korea. Harvey enjoyed bowling. Surviving are wife, Catherine C. Stoessel nee Vellotti; son, Robert J., spouse of Susan Stoessel of Loxahatchee, Fla.; grandchildren, Jennifer Stoessel, Richard W. Stoessel, Tara A. Houghton, Christian D. Stoessel, David W. Stoessel, and Amy Stoessel; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sons, Richard A. Stoessel and Thomas L. Stoessel. Viewing will be on Monday, February 13, 2012, from 9 to 11 a.m. at United Methodist Church of the Good Shepherd, Quentin Road, Lebanon. Funeral services will be on Monday at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at Ebenezer "Covenant" Cemetery, Lebanon, following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to United Methodist Church of the Good Shepherd, 1500 Quentin Road, Lebanon, PA 17042.
