Leona Oesterling, 92, Dreyerhaus Nursing Home, Batesville, Ind., died Friday Feb. 8, 1994 in the nursing home.

Born Jan. 3, 1902 in Hamburg, In., she was the daughter of Henry and Catherine (Dwenger) Meyer. She married William F. Oesterling June 16, 1926 in St. Anne's Catholic Church, Hamburg, and he preceded her in death May 27, 1980.

She belonged to the Holy Family Catholic Church, Oldenburg and the Ladies Society at the Holy Family Catholic Church.

Survivors include two sons, Herbert Oesterling, Batesville, and John B. Oesterling, Oldenburg; two daughters, Mrs. Stanley (Helen) Enneking and Mrs. John (Kathleen) Pohlman, both of Batesville; two sisters, Mrs. Christian (Ursula) Brinkman, Mt. Healthy, Ohio and Mrs. Robert (Romildea) Waldman, Batavia, Ohio; a brother, Paul "Pete" Meyer, Hamburg; 26 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Claire) Moorman, a grandson, John Oesterling Jr., two sisters, Amelia Meyer and Mrs. Ed (Louise) Ricke and two brothers, Albert and Ralph Meyer.

The mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in the Holy Family Catholic Church, Oldenburg, by the Rev. Humbert Moster.

Burial will be in the Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Oldenburg.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Weigel Funeral Home, Batesville.

There will be a rosary Sunday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
