The Death Records of St. John's Lutheran Church in Russell, KS show that: "Mary Dumler, born 24 January 1866, died 31 Janury 1938, buried 2 February 1938".

Mrs. Michael Dumler, who had been in ill health for some time, passed away at her home on East 7th Street, Monday morning January 31st, at 9:00 o'clock a.m.
Mary Katheryn Steinert was born in Eckheim, Russia, Jan. 24th, 1866 and came to Russell in the year of 1878 on February 9th. She was united in marriage to Michael Dumler on December 11th, 1882 in Ellinwood, Kansas. Mr. Dumler preceded her in death last year.
Those who survive are one daughter, Mrs. Fred J. Dumler, one sister and five brothers, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon in the St. John's Lutheran Church where the departed was a member, with Rev. Chris. Rautenstraus conducting the funeral and Deines Brothers, as funeral directors.

Mary Kathryn Dumler died Monday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred J. Dumler on East Seventh Street, where she had made her home the past two years since the death of her husband, Mike F. Dumler.
Funeral services were held yesterday from St. John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. C. Rautenstraus and Deines Brothers in charge. Pallbearers were the following: Jacob Steinert, George Dumler, Fred Steinert, David Dumler, Jacob Dumler and Reinhardt Steinert.
Mary Kathryn Steinert was born January 24, 1866, in Eckheim, Russia, and came to Russell County, Feb. 9, 1878. She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith in 1881. Her marriage to Michael Dumler occurred December 11, 1882, in Ellenwood.
Mrs. Dumler is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Dumler; one sister, Mrs. Fred Morgenstern; five brothers, George Conrad, Jacob, Fred and Reinhardt; four grandchildren, Mrs. John F. Streck, Mrs. Bernard Galyart, Mrs. Clarence Baker and Violet Dumler, four great grandchildren, Betty Ann Streck, Bonnie Lee Streck, Mary Kathryn Streck and Gary Galyardt.
