He retired from TACO, Sherburne and previously worked at Savage Arms, Utica, Bennett Ireland and Sheffield Chemicals, both of Norwich, and Earlville Paper Box Co. He was former mayor and trustee of the village of Smyrna, a former member and chief of the Smyrna Fire Department and a former member and captain of the Smyrna Emergency Squad. He was a communicant of St. Malachy's Church, Sherburne.
His wife, the former Marion Riggle, died in 1989.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Malachy's Church, East State Street, Sherburne. Spring burial, West Hill Cemetery, Sherburne.
