The former Esther Blanke was born Jan. 26, 1900, in Town of Plymouth, a daughter of Conrad and Louise Amdt Blanke. She attended the district school and St. John Lutheran School in Plymouth.
She had been employed with Stolper Brothers Department Store and with Leys Department Store, both in Plymouth, in the millinery departments and as clerk. She retired in 1968.
On June 25, 1923, she married Robert Craig in Plymouth. He died March 28, 1940. On June 15, 1946, she married Robert Papendieck in Plymouth. He died Feb. 11, 1979.
Mrs. Papendieck was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth.
Survivors include two step-sons, Niles Papendieck of Woodruff, and Robert Papendieck, of Racine; a step-daughter, Mrs. Wallace (Elaine) Pelchen, of Waukesha; 17 step grandchildren; 23 step-great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Malinda Hiller, of Plymouth.
Mrs. Papendieck was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. The Rev. Dennis Pergorsch, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenbush Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wittkopp Funeral Home from 3 p.m. Thursday until 11 a.m. Friday and at the church from noon until of service
