LuEtta was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church. She attended Immanuel Parochial School and graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1948. LuEtta was united in marriage to Wayne William Von Ahsen on September 4, 1949 at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Williamsburg. The couple raised 7 children, farmed worked and worshiped in York Township for 36 years before moving to Conroy until Wayne's death in 1995. LuEtta lived in Marion, Iowa from 1996-2009 when she moved to Grand Island, Nebraska. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she had been active in the choir, bell choir and ladies aid.
LuEtta is survived by: son: Tom (Marilyn) Von Ahsen of Wentzville, MO.; daughters: Sandy (Terry) Bricker of Grand Island, NE., Joan White Crane of Billings, MT., Kathy (Jay) Taylor of Mooresville, N.C., Teri (Herb) Skoog of Cedar Rapids, IA. and Monika Pavel of Seward, NE.; 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; sisters: Alice (Gerry) Olson of Denver, CO. and Dorothy Freeland of Lima, OH. and a host of relatives and friends.
LuEtta was preceded in death by parents, husband, Wayne William Von Ahsen, infant daughter: Linda Von Ahsen, sister: Leona Steinke and brother: Harold Iburg.
Burial was in the Immanual Lutheran Church Cemetery, Williamsburg, IA.
