  Wells, August 29—A young Wo-
man was widowed and a little baby
left fatherless when Aloysius Sten-
zel passed away at 5:15 Tuesday af-
ternoon after several weeks' illness
resulting from the after effects of
diphtheria. The little sOn, James, is
only five weeks old and will never
know the fine companionship of
his father.

  Aloysius Stenzel was born June
9, 1898, on the home farm, north-
east of Wells. He was the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas, Stenzel. He
was only 32 years old and had been
married less, than a year when death
came to him. Last October 1 he was
married to Miss Agnes Nowak and
they went to make their home on
the farm, northeast Of town, known
as the old Dylla place.

  He is survived by his sorrowing
widow, his little baby son, his par-
ents and three brothers and four
sisters. The brothers are Joseph,
John and Peter, and the sisters are
Mrs. Anton (Mary) Giese, Mrs. Ben
(Julia) Schultz, Pauline Stenzel of
Rochester and Agnes, at home.
