William A. "Bill or Art" Kendall, 76, of Anderson, passed away February 19, 2012 at his residence after an extended illness.
He was born May 7, 1935 in Celina, TN, the son of the late Abert and Dovie Lee (Reecer) Kendall. He lived most of his life in Anderson and retired from Delco Remy in 1985.
He was a US Marine Corps Veteran and was a member of Golden Rule Masonic Lodge No. 16 in Knightstown and Anderson Civil Defense from 1968 – 1978.
He is survived by his son, William "Bill" (wife, Sherry) Kendall of Frankton; daughter, Luanne Kendall of Anderson; step children, Linda Fears of Anderson, Cherryl Brown of Tucson, AZ, Frances (husband, Bob) Anderson of Punta Gorda, FL and Connie Bever of Anderson; grandchildren, Billy (wife, Tina) Kendall, Christopher (wife, Kiley) Kendall, Irene (husband, Rick) Haskill, Lorena Perez, Jerry Young, Rhonda (husband, Shawn) LaBarre and Jessica (husband, Doug) Doan; step grandchildren, Richard Loyd, Chuck (wife, Connie) Loyd, Mike Brown, Jim Brown, Julie Davis, Laura Anderson (husband, Rob Hillman), Chad Bever and Travis Bever; 19 great grandchildren; seven step great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, George Kendall of Anderson, Truvenia "Toots" Finley of Nashville, IN, Jimmi (wife, Jean) Kendall of Anderson and Robert (wife, Annette) Kendall, Richard (wife, Kathy) Kendall, Randall Kendall, Wanda Kendall and Rondall Kendall, all of TN; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Belva Brummett; and sister, Florence "Louise" Arnett.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Hilligoss officiating. Burial will be at South Mound Cemetery in New Castle with military graveside rites.
