WWI US Army veteran. Enlisted 5 July 1917 in Brooklyn, New York. Reported for duty to 23rd Reg. Armory, assigned to Company K. Sailed for foreign duty on 10 May 1918 from Hoboken, New Jersey on the Steamship President Lincoln. Served with the 106th U.S. Infantry in engagements at Mt. Kemmel, Dickenbusch and Hindenberg. Returned to the U.S. on 6 March 1919 on the S.S. Leviathan, landing in New York City, New York. Received an Honorable dischage at the rank of Sergeant on 2 April 1919. Serial No. 1208479.
