Lucas S. Brass, 69, of 219 Broad Street, Montoursville, died at 11 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, 1986, in Divine Providence Hospital, where he had been admitted Sept. 22.

Born July 11, 1917, at Montoursville, he was a son of Charles B. and Mary E. Hoover Brass.

Mr. Brass had retired as a self employed surveyor engineer.

He was a member of the Episcopal Church of Our Saviour, Montoursville.

An Army Veteran of World War II, he had been a prisoner of war in Europe. He was a member of Eugene Grafius Post 104, American Legion, Montoursville, Leroy O. Buck Post 7863, Veterans of Foreign Wars, DuBoistown, and the Disabled American Veterans.

He also was a member of the Society of Philatelic Americans Williamsport Stamp Club, the Willing Hand Hose Co. of Montoursville, Eureka Lodge 335 F&AM, Montoursville, the Loyalsock Creek Watershed Assn. and Loyalsock Creek Men's Club.

Surviving are his wife, the former Wanda Hill; four daughters, Mrs. Twila H. Mihas, of Atlanta, GA., Miss Dolly E. Brass, of Tampa, FL., Mrs. Holly E. Lowe, of Hyattsville, MD., and Mrs. Lucy L. Keavitt, of Bayville, NJ.; three brothers, G. Murl of Largo, FL., John T., of Montoursville, and Clyde L., of Cogan Station; two sisters, Mrs. Laura B. Jacobsen, of Wilmington, DE., and Mrs. Helen L. Sheffer, of Montoursville, and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

There will be no visitation. The family will provide the flowers.
