She was born January 1, 1911, to Albert Phillip and Luise Mathilde Schick von Hayn. She married Johan Fritzen, June 7, 1934, in Frankfurt, Germany. He died March 7, 1947, in a Russian prison camp. She married Paul Nowak, May 3, 1952, in Bad Godesberg, West Germany. He died November 1, 1974.
She is survived by three daughters and one son, Gerlinda Boyack, Boston, Mass; Heimy Taylor, Columbus, Ohio; Bodo Fritzen, Bloomington, Illinois; Ingrid Nemelka, Mapleton; 21 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; one brother, Albert von Hayn, Bad Homberg, Germany. She was preceded in death by two sons, Achim and Detlef Fritzen.
Burial was January 20, 1992.
