When about 12 years of age she moved with hr parents to Daykin, Jefferson, County, Nebraska and from there to Valley county, Nebraska

She united with the Methodist Episcopal Church at Davis Creek about twelve years ago and remained a loyal devoted member of the same, until she was called to the church triumphant which is without spot before the throne of God.
In the passing of Mrs. Axthelm the community not only suffers a great shock but an incalculable loss, She was indeed a choice soul; a woman of inestimable worth, building her life those things that were of permanent and eternal value. a woman whose charter was without a shadow; strong, noble, beautiful and true, and extra ordinary mother whose home was the center of her thought . Here she was at her best. It was her throne and she reigned with a beautiful and noble dignity Her happy and cheerful and thoughtful disposition her home a delight. The interest of her husband, children constantly filed her mind and with wonderful motherly wisdom and discretion, she sought to direct her children in those things that were of the highest and best. As a wife and companion to her husband she was equally outstanding and the mutual relationship at the home was beautiful indeed..
She loved the church and served with splendid devotion. With her home, it served hers deepest interest and love. Always faithful in her attendance she was for years a teacher of the young people's class. For the last year she served as the president of the Aid society. As a wife, a mother, a neighbor, a citizen, and a Christian she has made a noble contribution to life and we honor her memory as one of God's own.
