Ralph C. Sunkel, 64, Gridley, passed away at 1:15 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 26, 2012) at his residence.
He was born Nov. 3, 1947 in Bloomington to Charles Turner and Naida "Marguerite" Stewart Sunkel. He was married to Ruth Rinkenberger and Liz Archer. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Wayne Fagerburg.
Surviving are his children, Charles "CT" Sunkel, Gridley and Matthew Sunkel, Lincoln; three grandchildren, Collin and Alexander Sunkel, both of Minonk and Antonio Sunkel, Clinton; one sister, Margaret Ellen Wright, Jacksonville, Florida and one stepsister, Linda Fagerburg, Goodfield.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
