Marjorie Anne (Roepke) Neher, 70, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, in Las Cruces, N.M., after a long illness. She was born Nov. 11, 1927, on a farm near Holton, and received a bachelor's degree in geology at Kansas State University. She married Raymond Ed Neher on Oct. 28, 1950, in Manhattan. For health reasons she and her family moved to New Mexico in 1956. Survivors include her husband, Raymond of the home; a brother, Warren L. Roepke of Bend, Ore.; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann (Neher) Howard of Sherwood, Ark; and three grandchildren. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Sunrise Cemetery, Manhattan, with the Rev. Elbert V. Nelson officiating. Family visitation is from noon to 1:30 Tuesday at the Edwards-Yorgensen-Meloan Funeral Home. Friends are invited to meet at 1:30 for the procession to the cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Memorial Fund, University United Methodsit Church in Las Cruces, or to the Arthritis Foundation in care of the funeral home.
