Debra Louise Jorgenson, 48, a resident of Rothsay, died Sunday, March 4, 2012, near Rothsay as the result of an automobile accident.

She was born June 13, 1963, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, the daughter of Elroy and Mary Lou (Griepentrog) Maack. She was baptized and confirmed in St. John Lutheran Church in Elizabeth, Minnesota. Debbie attended school in Fergus Falls, graduating in 1981. She then attended Wahpeton State School of Science until 1983.

Debbie was employed at the Grafton State School for four years, at the Wilkin County Group home for ten years, and then at Productive Alternatives (Willow Branch). She had a very big heart and was willing to help everyone.

On April 29, 1995, she married Roger Jorgenson. The couple made their home in Rothsay.

Preceding her in death were her father, Elroy, and her brother, Steven Maack.

Survivors include her husband, Roger, of Rothsay; her stepson, Blake, and stepdaughter Jo Beth (Josh) Holte, and step-grandchildren, Owen and Jadyn, all of Moorhead, MN; her mother, Mary Lou Maack of Elizabeth; her brother, Wesley Maack of Blaine, MN; and a niece Carissa and nephew Nathan, both of Coon Rapids.

Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and resumes one hour prior to the service at the church.

Service: 1 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2012, at New Life Lutheran Church in Rothsay

Clergy: Reverend Paul Huso

Interment: Hamar Cemetery, Rothsay, Minnesota
