Manuel Bray, 77, of Mountainburg died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, in his home. He was born May 29, 1934, in Fort Smith. He was a retired co-owner and operator at Joan's Detail in Fort Smith and was a member of Van Buren Freewill Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Ellen of the home; a daughter, Mary Blasingame of Dyer; two sons, Billy Bray of Mountainburg and David Bray of Van Buren; a sister, Faye Berry of Van Buren; 10 grandchildren, Joshua Bray, Jeremey Bray, Steven Autry, Robert Autry, Michael Bray, Caleb Bray, Joanie Turby, Ethan Bray, Billy Bray and George Bray; and four great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Locke Cemetery in the Locke community under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren. Pallbearers will be Frank Morgan, Jack Thomas, Josh Bray, Jeremy Bray, Dewayne Roller and Harold Morgan. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren and friends.
