Mrs. Annie Cassidy wife of Frank Cassidy of 2223 Washington avenue, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. W. E. Luddy, of Stanton avenue, Swissville, Pittsburgh, at 8:30 o'clock yesterday morning. Mrs. Cassidy went to visit at the Luddy home and was take ill with tonsilitis and quinsy, the poison of the ailments effecting her heart and causing her death. She was born in Pennsylvania, Nov. 3, 1866, a daughter of James J. Roney, one of the first tailors to locate on Eleventh avenue, and Barbara Roney. Surviving are her husband, four daughters and two sons, Mrs. Luddy of Swissville, Mrs. Harry Wharton of this city, Mrs. Fred Maeder of Shebovgan, Wis., Mrs. Ellen Freeman of Philipsburg, Frank Cassidy of this city, John Cassidy of Cleveland. Three brothers and two sisters, Frank, John and Charles Roney and Misses Katie and Bella Roney all of this city and twenty-one grandchildren survive. She was a member of Cathedral Catholic parish. The funeral will be held monday with requiem mass at 9 o'clock in the Cathedral chapel. Interment will be made in Calvary cemetery.
