Olive L. Larsen: 90, of W. Geneva Street Elkhorn, WI died peacefully surrounded by her family Sunday March 4, 2012 at Kindred Care Center Burlington, WI. Olive was born July 26, 1921 in East Troy, WI. She was the daughter of the late Oliver and Julia (Marciniak) Mitchell. Olive was united in marriage to Lewis Larsen on October 7, 1939 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in East Troy, WI. Lewis died February 17, 1993. Olive worked for over 25 years as a cook for St. Patrick's Catholic School in Elkhorn, WI. She was a former member of the Tibbets Grange, Silver Stands Band, Music Makers, Birthday Club, and Sno-Drifters Snowmobile Club. Olive loved to crochet, she was a fantastic cook, and grew beautiful violets. Olive is survived by her 4 children: Sandra Stratmeyer of Janesville, WI, Kathleen (Peter) Willemsen of Delavan, WI, Nancy (Jerry) Braatz of Janesville, WI and Charles (Debra Horkan) Larsen of Waukesha, WI. 6 grandchildren: Bill (Jayme Braasch) Braatz, Susan (Mike) Fischbach, Paul (Melissa) Willemsen, Penny (Kevin) Brellenthin, Dave (Nycki) Willemsen and Daniel Stratmeyer. 12 great-grandchildren. 2 step-grandchildren: Chad and Garrett Horkan. 1 sister: Mary Ann (Robert) Zelenski of East Troy, WI. 1 sister-in-law: Bea Mitchell of East Troy, WI. 1 brother-in-law: Herb Koenen of Burlington, WI. She is further survived by several nieces and nephews, in-laws, and a host of other dear relatives and friends. Olive was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Lewis. 2 granddaughters: Lori Braatz and Pamela Hawkins. 3 brothers: Edward, Lenard and Robert Mitchell. 2 sisters: Marjorie Koenen and Dorothy Zivkovich.
Memorial Funeral Mass will be held 2:00 pm Saturday March 24, 2012 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church 107 W. Walworth Street Elkhorn, WI with Father Oriol Regales officiating. Inurnment will be at Roselawn Memory Gardens in the Town of Delavan, WI. Visitation will be Saturday at the church from 1:00 pm until time of service.
