Word was received here that Mrs. Jennie Gissel, wife of Lewis H. Gissel of Houston, Texas, died Wednesday, January 16, of pneumonia.
Mrs. Gissel was the daughter of W. P. Jemison of Clarita and was at one time employed here with the City National Bank.
She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, Lewis H. Gissel, and a 7-month-old baby daughter, Julia; her father, W. P. Jemison of Clarita; five sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Carson, of Oklahoma City; Mrs. Pat Breedlove, of Ada; Miss Osceola Jemison, of Dallas, Tex.; Miss Vera Jemison, of Oklahoma City; Miss Eula Ruth Jemison and one brother, Mack Jemison, of Clarita.

After Jennie's death, Mr. Gissel married her sister Osceola, who helped him raise little Julia. Julia grew up, attended the Univ. of Texas at Austin, and later married William E. Tipton.
