As a child Newton defended his older brother Leo from his father. They remained very close their entire lives. He was the father of seven, 6 sons and one daughter. Newton worked for Mosler Safe Company before becoming the owner/operator of Cincy Safe Co. where he designed the safes. He received many patents. His life was cut short by a sudden attack of pancreatitis.
