Born in Wayne Township, September 6, 1897, he was a son of Jacob and Fredericka Kohler Haug. Mr. was a lifetime resident of Zanesville.
He was a member of the Emanuel United Church of Christ, and a 40 year member of the Eagles. Mr. Haug retired from Armco in 1962 after 43 years, working as a crane operator.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Harry Carmen Smith of Mount Sterling; a brother, Edward Haug of 518 Kinsel avenue, two sisters, Mrs. Clara Rittberger of 424 White Oak Avenue, and Mrs. Edwin Cunningham of Nashport; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The body was taken to the Blue Avenue Chapel of the Bolin funeral Home where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
