AVON Carrie V. Weber (nee Huber), 97, of Avon, died yesterday at her home following a short illness.
She was born July 1, 1892, in Lorain. She lived in the area all of her life. She was a member of St. Mary Church and the church's Altar and Rosary Society for 50 years.
Her hobbies include sewing, crocheting, crossword puzzles and painting.
Survivors include her daughters Mrs. Charles (Clara) Guggenbiller, Mrs. Catherine Schneider and Mrs. James H. (Carrie Lou) Lowe, all of Avon, Sister Mary Lewis S.N.D. of South Euclid, Mrs. Mary Frank of Avon Lake and Mrs. Edward (Joan) Moore of Elyria; and 35 grandchildren, 79 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Louis J., in 1974; a daughter, Dorothy Thomen; and 12 brothers and sisters.
Friends may call tomorrow, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM., at the Burmeister County Line Funeral Home, a G. H. Busch Company, 32000 Detroit Road, Avon. Rites will be at 9:45 AM Thursday at the funeral home, followed by 10:30 AM. Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church, Avon. The Rev. Arthur B. Egan will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery Cemetery, Avon.
The family suggest memorial contributions may be made to the American Society.
