Floyd L. Hoffman, 87, Rock Island, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, at Friendship Manor, Rock Island.
He was born Oct. 23, 1914, in Prairie Farm, Wis., the son of Louis and Eva Roemhild Hoffman. He married Jane Martinson June 7, 1952, in Memomonie, Wis. She died Dec. 4, 1988.
He worked for the city of Milwaukee, as a mechanic for more than 20 years, retiring in 1978. He served in the Air Force in England during World War II. He was a member of the VFW, Milwaukee.
Survivors (and spouses) include his daughter, Nancy Jane Johnson, San Diego, Calif.; sons, Stephen (Kristina) Hoffman, Wawatosa, Wis., and Dr. John (Kim) Hoffman, Moline; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife.
