Nathan Paul Latka was born on March 7, 1968 in Wolf Point, MT with his twin brother, Sean. The twins left the hospital with their adoptive parents, Denny and Carmen (Munoz) Latka. Nathan attended schools in Wolf Point, and Dawson County, MT including cracker Box and Sacred Heart Schools. Nathan graduated from Dawson County High School and spent the next few years seeing much of the western states seismographing. Nathan and Brenda Kingstad had Tana Lynn in 1985. He married Carla Ridenhower on July 24, 1987 and they had two children, Dennis and Sara Rose. They lived in Alliance, NE where Nathan worked for the railroad for the next nine years. After his divorce, he moved to Sidney, MT and returned to oilfield work on drilling and workover rigs. At the time of his death, Nathan was a field supervisor at K C Sand, overseeing sand operations in the fracturing portion of oil well completions.

Nathan loved critters from little pigs "Piglings" to him, baby calves and his true friend, he and Sean's dog "Much". He was often more patient with them than with people which earned him a reputation with some as being a "grump". It was just for show, he really had a soft heart which he showed to most that were close to him. On December 17, 2010, Jessie was born to Dennis and Caitlyn, and Nathan fell head over heels for her. She remained a highlight in his life. His other grandchildren, Kierra and Allison live in Germany.

Nathan enjoyed motorcycles from childhood on. He was a casual fisherman and used fishing and camping to spend time with his kids and Sean's. He especially enjoyed Mexican food from his mother and Grandmother Audrey's kitchens.

Nathan died doing what he loved to do, on Sunday evening, March 18, 2012, of injuries resulting from a motorcycle accident in Sidney, MT.

Nathan is survived by: his son, Dennis Latka, Glendive, MT; his daughters, Sara Latka, Alliance, NE and Tana (Ray) Hall, Frankford, Germany; his parents, Denny and Carmen Latka, Sidney, MT; his twin brother, Sean Latka, Sidney, MT; his three grandchildren, Jessie Latka, Kierra Hall, and Allison Hall; his nephews, Stephen, Nick, and Chris Latka; his grandparents, Reyes and Audrey Munoz, Sidney, MT; his aunts and uncles on both the Munoz and Latka families; and a whole bunch of cousins and friends.
