Gladys L. Damon, age 93, of Highland, died on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Bloomfield Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. Gladys was born on March 13, 1919 in Highland the daughter of Albert and Ida (Blabaum) Gabler. She married Jerry Damon on January 29, 1937. The couple lived in Highland their entire married life. Jerry preceded her in death on April 23, 1986. Gladys was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, worked for Pierick's Market for 25 years and enjoyed being a foster grandparent. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, William; a grandson, Jerry Damon; a son-in-law, Otto Will; daughters-in-law, Beverly and Janet; four sisters and their husbands.

Gladys is survived by her daughter, Lois Will; sons, Ed (Ann), Richard and Merle, all of Madison; a daughter-in-law, Linda of Waunakee; 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the McGuire-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home in Highland. Pastor Dana Mark Wilkie will officiate with burial in the Highland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and after 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday.
