Bessie M. Lott, 87 years, of Fremont, NE. died March 14, 2012, at Birchwood Manor in North Bend, NE. She was born on Mar 1, 1925, at Tecumseh, Nebraska, to Harry VanWinkle and Eva Ward. She grew up at Tecumseh and was a 1943 graduate of Tecumseh High School.
Bessie married LeRoy Lott on Sep 7, 1944. He died Feb. 5, 1993. Bessie lived in Beatrice, Nebraska, from 1948 until moving to Fremont in 1950. She was employed at the former Gambles Warehouse in Fremont for more then 27 years, retiring in 1986. She was a past member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #200 Auxiliary in Fremont.
She is survived by sons, Ronald and wife, Sharon Lott and Jerry Lott, 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 2 brothers, Fredrick and Lester Van Winkle. and a granddaughter.
Funeral was held at Moser Memorial Chapel, Fremont, Nebraska, with Pastor Roger Luiken officiating. Burial was at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont, NE.
